Its been 8 years since the release of Max Payne 2: The Fall Of Max Payne, and almost 10 years since the original Max Payne graced the PS2, so its been a while since we’ve had a taste of the gritty noir style world of Max Payne, until now. Originally due for release in 2009, Max Payne 3 will once again allow you to reprise the role of Max through 2 contrasting junctures in his complicated life. The more familiar styled Max as a not so cynical New York cop will be playable through differing flashbacks during the game, and weirdly, a substantially older and more balding Max will also feature, as security for a wealthy family in Brazil, resembling a more mature looking John McClane, vest and all, with the events taking place over the course of a decade. Expect more Matrix style slow-motion gun brawls and a trail of bullet riddled corpses in your wake, although when your be able to unleash a Max Payne style fury on the PS3 is still unknown, as no official release date has been announced yet.
Will Max Payne 3 be able to attract a new younger audience who may not of played the previous 2 incarnations? Perhaps an HD makeover for the previous 2 installments could bridge the gap?
